About Sommarljom

Sommarljom is a small music festival that takes place annually at summer in Ørsta in western Norway. The musicians perform in intimate and unique settings such as boat houses and outdoors on an old farm. They present music in a broad variety of genres, i.e. folk music, pop, jazz, country and classical music. We also have a tradition of inviting visual artists working with performance art or installations.

Locations
The main part of the program takes place outdoors on a farm in Ytre-Hovden in Ørsta. The address is Ytrehovdevegen 98. We also have a side program with concerts in a boathouse in Bugafjøra in Ørsta. Scroll to see the maps showing where to park (parkering) and how to find the venues.

How to get there
Bus: There are buses going to Ørsta bus station from i.e Oslo, Trondheim and Bergen.
Plane: Hovden Ørsta/Volda lufthavn is the closest airport, five minutes from Ørsta town centre. Another option is Vigra Ålesund airport.
Accommodation
Havila Hotel Ivar Aasen, Ørsta Camping. Free camping site within walking distance from the concerts in Ytre-Hovden by the Hovdevatnet Lake.
